"Benito Quinquela Martín´s Museum" located in the heart of La Boca is one of the Institutions that the artist donated to the neighborhood with the intention of creating a pole of cultural, educational and health development. Committed to educational processes, the Museum promotes a conception of art as a decisive factor in the daily processes of identity construction. Founded and created in 1938, it has an important collection of figurative Argentine works of art from the late 19th century to the present day. Quinquela Martín designed this Museum where he also installed his atelier and home.
